Welcome to Vineyard "Hill of Hope," beautifully situated near the Dominican Monastery in Jamna. This small village in the Zakliczyn municipality, about 30 km south of Tarnów, entices with its secluded location, breathtaking views, and intimate attractions that draw seasoned travelers from all over the country.

For a long time, this place has been an oasis of tranquility for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in the rural atmosphere of the Rożnów Foothills. For those who enjoy mountain hiking and nature contemplation, Jamna offers a unique harmony and a chance to spend time with close friends. It is a place to catch your breath, break away from daily worries, and fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.

However, it's not just the views and nature that make Jamna special. It is also a place with a rich cultural heritage. Among others, there is the center of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań named "Schronisko Dobrych Myśli" (The Shelter of Good Thoughts) and the Dominican Monastery, which also serves as a center for academic pastoral care dedicated to Our Lady of Reliable Hope. It was in 1992 when the Dominicans settled in Jamna, and the long-abandoned school building was renovated to become a center for pastoral care.

However, the history of this place would not be complete without mentioning the tragic events of September 1944, when the village experienced brutal cruelty. In retaliation for supporting partisans, German soldiers killed many innocent inhabitants, including women and children. However, the mission of the pastoral center has been to restore a sense of hope to this place, to keep the memory of those who departed alive, and to honor their lives.

A symbolic act of "spiritual reclamation" was the establishment of a small vineyard, with its first vines planted in 1992-1993. This carefully chosen form of cultivation, echoing biblical tradition, has also accompanied the Dominican order for centuries. Thus, the vineyard has become not only the crowning glory of this place's beauty but also an important element of the history and culture of this religious community.

After the unexpected death of the founder, Father Jan Góra, in 2015, the idea of the vineyard continued thanks to the new custodian, Father Andrzej Chlewicki. It was thanks to his initiative that Father Dr. Marek Grubka, an exceptional monastic viticulturist and winemaker, renowned as one of the best in Poland, came to Jamna. Father Marek is not only a theologian and cultural studies expert but also a graduate of the Podkarpacka Academy of Wine in Jasło and the Jagiellonian University in enology.

In the spring of 2021, a new, extraordinary vineyard was created in Jamna by Father Marek. It covers an area of about 40 ares, lying on a gently sloping southern hillside, at an altitude of about 450 meters above sea level. This place with a long tradition of grape cultivation has seen 1500 vines planted, representing six exclusively white grape varieties.

Soon, in the 2023 vintage, the first grape harvest will take place, which will be used to produce exceptional wines. It will be a time of great joy and a promise of fruits of hope, whose taste will be fully enjoyed in bottles of this unique wine.

Vineyard "Hill of Hope" in Jamna is undoubtedly a place of extraordinary character. The beauty of nature, cultural wealth, and spiritual heritage intertwine in this enclave of peace and inspiration. We warmly welcome all who wish to experience the unique atmosphere of this place, taste exquisite wines, and immerse themselves in the history and culture that still harmoniously coexist with nature.
