The "Panieńska Góra" Nature Reserve is a charming corner of nature located on the southeastern slopes of Panieńska Góra hill (331 meters above sea level). It is a unique plant reserve covering an area of 63.23 hectares. It was established in 2003 to protect natural forests and areas with occurrences of plants from the orchid family. The slopes of the hill are covered with a beautiful forest representing a shade-loving subcontinental hornbeam-beech forest, dominated by the Swedish whitebeam. In the reserve, you can encounter flowers such as the pale orchid, purple orchid, Michaux's sedge, hairy agrimony, and small-flowered crane's-bill. Within the reserve's boundaries, many protected plant species can be found, including the sweet woodruff, golden lily, red-berried elder, common lungwort, and common helleborine, as well as rare insect species, including butterflies like the queen of Spain and the large blue. At the top of the hill, fragments of an ancient settlement and the medieval Trzewlin Castle can be seen. The reserve is traversed by a blue tourist trail.
