The Observation Tower on Szpilówka - a magical place in Iwkowa, where you can admire magnificent views in all four directions. The trail to the tower is easy and family-friendly, with the shortest route taking only 20 minutes. There are different ways to reach the top, but the quickest option is to choose the shortest trail from the parking lot below the tower in Iwkowa. The second option is slightly longer and leads through the Piekarski Potok Valley, though the trail is not difficult. The path runs through the peak of Piekarska Góra, and along the way, you can admire the symbolic cross of insurgents. The third version is a trail from the village of Tymowa Górna, which passes through the Bukowiec Reserve. Both variants are approximately an hour-long enjoyable walk along green trails through the forest. Moreover, both Szpilówka and the surrounding hills are located within the Wiśnicko - Lipnicki Landscape Park.
The Observation Tower on Szpilówka stands out as the tallest in the region, measuring about 30 meters. It is situated on the Szpilówka Hill, reaching an impressive height of 516 meters above sea level.
During weekends, the tower is particularly crowded with tourists from Małopolska eager to discover the beauty of this place. And if you want to take on an additional challenge, you can extend your trip to Piekarska Góra and the hermitage of St. Urban. Near the tower, there is a sheltered gazebo with benches where you can sit and admire the beauty of the surrounding nature.
