The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rajbrot was built in 1511. It is a beautiful wooden, historic church with a log construction. Clad and roofed with shingles, and with a stone chapel and plastered exterior, it presents extraordinary charm.
The interior of the church is as beautiful as its external form. The ceilings and naves are adorned with cofferings, and the chancel arch has a pointed character. The interior of the church is decorated with many late-Gothic carpentry details dating back to the time of its construction. The polychromes, both ornamental and figural, from 1879, give the interior a unique atmosphere.
There is also no shortage of valuable sacred objects. The main altar from the late 17th century is adorned with a beautiful painting of the Virgin Mary with the Child and John the Baptist. Equally beautiful are two Baroque side altars from the 19th century and a 16th-century baptismal font. This exceptional place generates so much interest that a new church is being built nearby according to Elżbieta Langer's design. The cornerstone, taken from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and blessed by Pope John Paul II in 2003, makes this project of great importance to the entire community.
