"Osada Młyńska" is a charming place with a rich history, located in Roztoka-Brzeziny on the picturesque Rożnów Foothills, in the valley of the Dunajec River. Its roots date back to 1409 when the name of the village was first mentioned in written sources as Rostok (later known as Roztoka). Throughout the centuries, it passed through various owners, and in 2010, it merged administratively with the village of Brzeziny, forming a common name.

The most valuable monument of the settlement is its historical miller's hamlet, which has been associated with the Winiarski family since its inception. It was Józef Winiarski, at the end of the 1920s, who built a wooden miller's homestead, consisting of a house, stable, barn, mill, and sawmill. This settlement was located in the picturesque valley of the Kąty stream (now called Roztoczanka), providing excellent conditions for operating a water mill. It functioned until the 1960s when it was transformed into an economic mill with an electric drive.

After Józef Winiarski's death, the hamlet began to fall into ruins, and its former significance was gradually forgotten. Fortunately, Józef's grandson, Michał Winiarski, supported by his father Julian, decided to restore the splendor and spirit of this magical place.

Currently, the miller's hamlet is meticulously restored and cared for by the current owner, who with great care restores the former glory of the buildings, mechanisms, and equipment. At the heart of the settlement stands a wooden, three-story mill equipped with a unique millstone, which serves as a witness to the history and tradition of milling. This settlement has gained new life as the "Józef Winiarski Milling, Technology, and Rural Craft Museum," where every tourist can learn about the local history and actively discover the secrets of milling.

It is a place full of charm and authenticity, where one can feel the spirit of the past by entering the miller's house, where many family mementos, documents, and photographs are preserved, testifying to the history of the settlement and its inhabitants, as well as their heroism during World War II.

"Osada Młyńska" is a unique and rare traditional homestead in the Rożnów Foothills, preserving an authentic layout and equipment. Its undeniable asset is also its picturesque location and natural garden, creating a rural atmosphere surrounded by the flowing Roztoczanka stream.
