We invite you to the Pogórze Microregion, where you can admire the extraordinary structure known as Beluard. Its creation was the work of Hetman Jan Tarnowski, a renowned military practitioner and theorist, although it was probably never fully completed, adding to its enigmatic allure.

Beluard catches the eye with its unique shape - a pentagonal plan and a spacious interior designed as a hall with gun ports under the vault, while its solid walls, ranging from 2.5 to 3 meters thick, provided unparalleled protection against artillery fire, making it a once-strategic fortress.

The external embellishments of the façade add unmatched charm to Beluard - the characteristic cornice served as protective cover for the gun ports, and the cartridges with the Leliwa coat of arms, belonging to the Tarnowski family, along with the bas-relief of a bearded man holding a Turk's head, enrich its history.

Throughout the years, the purpose of the structure has changed, serving various functions, from an Arian congregation to a bell foundry, grain warehouse, and even a distillery. Thanks to the efforts of the Stadnicki family, Beluard has regained its proud history and now stands as a magnet for tourists from around the world.
